I'm a working student in software development who somehow ended up
thinking about distributed systems while being asked to tweak jQuery.
Life is funny like that.
Most of my day-to-day work revolves around frontend customizations, low-code automations, and stitching together micro-services. But under the surface, I'm a lot more interested in how everything actually works - from HTTP quirks and API design to system behavior under load. If there's a rabbit hole, I will go down it.

How I work
I don't like treating code as magic. If something breaks, I don't just
patch it - I map it out mentally, trace dependencies, and figure out why
it broke. Debugging isn't a chore to me, it's basically detective work.
When I build things myself, I lean towards clean structure, modular design, and patterns that scale. In practice (read: at work), that sometimes gets reduced to "just make it work", but the intention is always there - waiting.

Systems, not scripts
I tend to think in systems, even when I probably don't need to.
Privately, I've built a scalable cluster setup and enjoy designing architectures that can grow, fail gracefully, and recover. In my job, I work with APIs, databases, and micro-services as well - though usually within tighter constraints and less room for overengineering (tragic, I know).

Strengths (aka things I quietly min-max)
- Strong debugging and code comprehension
- Ability to quickly understand unfamiliar systems
- Architectural thinking (scalability, performance, availability)
- Comfortable across abstraction layers (low-level to high-level)
- Independent work + direct client communication
The honest part
My current role doesn't fully reflect what I'm capable of.
A lot of my work is intentionally simplified, fast-paced, and business-driven
- which means less focus on deeper engineering practices like testing,
long-term architecture, or clean abstractions.
Outside of that environment, I tend to go a lot further: cleaner code, better structure, more thought put into "what happens in 6 months".

Right now I'm somewhere between "junior on paper" and "let me design that properly real quick." Give me the right environment, and I'll probably overthink your entire system - in a good way.
